Brindley takes Stafford Rangers job
After last weeks sacking of Steve Bull due to “cost cutting measures”, Stafford Rangers have appointed assistant Chris Brindley as their new manager.
Brindley’s appointment comes as the club tries to avoid slipping in to administration.
“It has been a difficult few days and I feel very sorry for Steve…Everyone needs to pull together for the good of the club, it may seem bleak right now but things will improve,” said Brindley
As well as Bull, six players from the squad were sacked as a result of cutbacks.
“We face a tricky time on and off the field, but if I can help the club stay in business and remain competitive in the non-league pyramid I will have done my bit,” said Brindley.
“I love the game and I enjoy working here. In the difficult times that we all find ourselves in, I didn’t want to be out of work and I think I can help the club.”
